About the role
We are looking for proactive and ambitious Graduates to join SLR's Transport Advisory Team in either Brisbane or Sydney. The role will provide you with day-to-day technical development, while also providing the opportunity to be part of a structured learning program.
It is intended that the graduate roles would commence in late 2024/early 2025 as part of SLR's graduate program upon completion of your university studies. There is, however, an opportunity for successful applicants to initially commence in a paid part-time intern role around your study commitments prior to graduation.
Responsibilities
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders across the region and provide you with support on your technical growth within the wider SLR team.
As part of a growing team in SLR, you will be responsible for carrying out services and tasks that include undertaking transport-related analysis and design, providing advice to clients, and assisting with proposal preparation. As a self-starter, you will be able to display confidence and an eagerness to learn. This is the perfect career starter in the consulting industry.
Qualifications
The ideal candidates will have:
A professional qualification in engineering or another relevant degree. The ability to analyse and interpret situations and problems to develop appropriate solutions. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and high computer literacy. Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Strong time management skills. Rights to work in Australia. Experience in the following areas will be advantageous to your application:
Exposure or strong interest in Transport/Traffic engineering. Exposure to/understanding of the consulting industry. Benefits
