Current opportunity
As part of our Audit and Assurance division, you will be supporting our audit team to undertake high-quality financial audits while building your analytical and technical skills, underpinned by clear and strong communication.
Reporting to our managers and Partners, you will perform a broad range of financial audit tasks and grow your technical and professional skills.
Based in our Canberra CBD office, you will be surrounded by specialists with technical expertise and receive high-quality training and solid support to propel your career.
The role
We are seeking candidates from graduates through to senior auditors to support our growing team.
As part of our audit team you will:
Develop your knowledge further through working with experienced audit specialistsReceive specific training to enhance your technical skillsAssist with all aspects of audit engagementsPrepare financial statements and workpapersIdentify risks and suggest recommendations to enhance internal controlsReceive ongoing professional development opportunities to support your career growth and trajectoryApply appropriate analytical proceduresAddress technical issuesLiaise and coordinate with clients and stakeholdersDevelop teamwork, delegation and staff management skillsEnjoy the diversity of working both in the office and at client sites, working with people across various industries About you All experience levels consideredBachelor's Degree in AccountingMembership, or intention to gain membership, in CAANZ or CPA is desirableAbility to commence role from June 2024Depending on your level of experience:
Ability to complete quality work within time and budgetCan demonstrate practical understanding of audit procedures, workpapers and financial reporting requirementsCan prepare financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting StandardsMaintain productive time utilisationLife at Nexia
