Position Overview:
The Graduate Teaching Assistant position is ideal for those wishing to gain research and/or teaching experience preparing for a Ph.D. program or future adjunct faculty position.
Compensation: Students in this position are paid $5000 per semester for 15 work hours per week.
The position is renewable.
Hourly Rate: $12/hr or higher, commensurate with experience and/or education.
Duties:
Assist faculty with research projects, administrative tasks, and/or undergraduate courses.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have strong writing and research skills.
Qualifications:
Must be admitted to the MSCJ degree program.
Must commit to working 15 hours per week during both the fall and spring semesters.
Preferred Qualifications:
Undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Grade of B or higher in social science research methods and statistics courses (undergrad or grad-level).
