To be eligible for graduate teaching vacancies in 2024 you will be:
Graduating from a preservice primary or secondary education degree in 2024 (mid or end of 2024 to commence teaching in 2024 or 2025) Eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment Eligible to hold registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) on commencement with BCE. At BCE our teachers are required to:
Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration; Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment. Have a commitment to Safeguarding. FAQ: Do I have to be Catholic? If this role does not require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic. Yes, for primary and Religious Education teachers.
Regarding a pathway to become Catholic, some employees opt to undertake the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). We support all teachers with Accreditation to Teach pathways after you commence with BCE.
