Araluen Primary School's intent is to fulfil our vision and seek opportunities to improve student learning outcomes across all areas of the curriculum through consistent teaching practices in all classrooms. This is driven by the PLC process, whole school documentation of teaching and assessment practices, increased use of formative assessment, and improved level of student voice, agency, and leadership.
Student voice and agency is highly valued at Araluen Primary School. Our students are encouraged to develop their creativity through our Visual and Performing Arts programs and our AIM HIGH Instrumental program. Our students' artistic talents are proudly displayed through our constantly changing Art displays, and our music students have enjoyed years of success in the vocal sections at local Eisteddfods and participating in the State School Spectacular program. Our students are encouraged to be healthy and active through our PE program.
We have a proactive School Council and Parents Group supported by the work of energetic subcommittees. Parents are engaged in a wide variety of school activities including Breakfast Club, Book Fair, sporting events, and fundraising activities. The strong support from our Mental Health and Wellbeing Team and school community enhances our school programs, events, and community connectedness.
