Exposure to design of structures across all materials Post-Tensioned Concrete, Steel, Timber. Carry out site investigations under the supervision and guidance of an experienced engineer. Carry out structural design process from concept all the way through to construction stage. Be trained in structural computational models using software such as ETABS RAPT and Spacegass. Carry out structural calculations, and prepare drawings providing solutions to design issues. Work on multi-disciplinary design projects liaising with Civil, Sustainability and Building Services teams. Collaborate with external stakeholders including architects, developers, commercial builders and local/state government bodies. Contribute to quantifying and reducing embodied carbon in structural designs.
