Apply for the Aboriginal Primary Health Care New Graduate Nursing Program at Congress. This innovative, progressive and responsive two year program will support you to enter the Primary Health Care sector with confidence.
We have partnered with Flinders University, the Northern Territory Primary Health Network (NT PHN) and the Northern Territory Government Central Australian Health Service (NTG CAHS) to deliver a unique opportunity where, as a graduate, you can gain experience in Primary Health Care in remote and town based centres, as well as with Alice Springs Hospital. 
Congress supports interprofessional education and will encourage and support post-graduate studies with Flinders University in the Graduate Certificate in Remote Health Practice.

As a new graduate nurse, how would you contribute to our values and vision while delivering care in the cultural context of Central Australia?

Are you currently registered as a registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia? Are you an Australian citizen or hold a visa allowing ongoing, full-time employment in Australia? Do you have less than 6 months full-time equivalent experience as a Registered Nurse? Can you demonstrate an understanding of and ability to coordinate, client care resulting in positive clinical outcomes? Can you demonstrate written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to contribute effectively within a multidisciplinary team? Can you demonstrate an understanding of the impact of social and cultural challenges experienced by vulnerable groups/communities and the role of the nurse in supporting them? It is a requirement of the Congress Graduate nurse program to undergo a 6 month rotation at Alice Springs Hospital. Are you able to commit to this?
