Saab's Graduate Program is a two year program, which offers you the opportunity to work in either; a focused program, dedicated to honing technical proficiency in a specific area, or; a dynamic experience with structured rotations across two diverse teams within our organisation.

Following the successful completion of the program, you will be placed into a permanent position within the business so that you can continue the growth of your exciting new career.
Our 2026 Software Engineering and Modelling & Analysis Graduate program will be comprised of the following graduate roles, based out of our Adelaide and Melbourne offices, noted below.
Software Engineering: within our surface ship Combat Management System and Submarine Automation System product teams, including requirements, design, coding, bug fixes and testing of software components. This role would suit those studying software engineering, computer science or related engineering/technical degrees. This role is located in both our Adelaide and Melbourne offices.Modelling and Analysis Engineering: undertaking software development of combat system performance models characterising the combat performance of Navy Surface Combatants. This role would suit those studying software engineering, computer science or related engineering/technical degrees. This role is located within our Adelaide office. About youWe are searching for talented and inquisitive problem-solvers, who are interested and passionate about designing and developing products that will help to keep people and society safe, one of our important core values.
You will be required to have completed within the last two (2) years, or about to complete, a Bachelor's Degree, specialising in:
Computer ScienceSoftware EngineeringMechatronics EngineeringOr a related technical discipline
As Defence security clearance is required for these roles, you will be an Australian citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
