Graduate Pathway to Success Our 12-month Graduate Program is your pathway to becoming a successful Workplace Rehab Consultant.
Throughout the program, with our support and guidance every step of the way, you will come out the other end with a permanent role at KINNECT.
On this program you'll learn to:
Assess and support workers with physical and psychological injuries to help them return to work.Conduct workplace assessments to identify the demands of different roles and develop tailored rehabilitation plans that ensure sustainable outcomes.Provide clinical insights and justification through professional report writing.Perform Activities of Daily Living (ADL) assessments and coordinate services and equipment prescriptions.Case management of complex injuries, working closely with doctors and healthcare professionals to facilitate recovery and return-to-work transitions.Additionally, you'll gain hands-on experience in injury prevention services, learning about: Pre-employment assessments covering drug & alcohol, audiology, spirometry, vision, and functional testing.Creating job dictionaries that outline key duties, physical demands, and cognitive requirements for workplace rehabilitation.Conducting Manual Task Risk Assessments and delivering engaging Manual Handling Training.Performing ergonomic assessments in various settings – from workplaces to vehicles and home environments.Graduate Pathway - Program Structure & Support KINNECT's Graduate Pathway offers a carefully structured 12-month development plan, designed to be 'hands on' to give you the skills and experience you need to thrive.
Here's how we support your journey: Supervision: A dedicated Team Manager will be your primary supervisor, guiding you through your role and ensuring a smooth transition into full-time work.Mentorship: You'll be paired with a mentor from your discipline who will provide insights and advice to help you grow.Development: Monthly professional development sessions and quarterly face-to-face training with the rest of the Graduate Network to keep you learning and evolving.Collaboration: This is a hands-on program with opportunities to shadow professionals from various disciplines, including psychologists, physiologists, and rehab counsellors, to broaden your knowledge.Personalisation: Your learning journey is flexible, allowing you to tailor your experience to suit your individual needs.Peer Support: A buddy from last year's graduate cohort will be available to answer your questions and provide practical guidance.What makes KINNECT Special? Who Should Apply? Our Graduate Pathways Program is perfect for you if you're in your final year of study, a recent graduate, or have less than 12-18 months of experience in the field.
You hold (or are about to hold) tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, with a graduation date in 2023 or 2024, and are eligible for professional membership with AHPRA.You're passionate about making a meaningful difference in people's lives.You align with our core values: Happy, Highly Skilled People Creating Sustainable Value.You have a valid driver's license.We'd Love to Hear from You!
