About the role A rare opportunity for recent Graduate or Provisional Psychologist to join our Family Relationships & Health Team at Tuggerah and be supported by a passionate team who works together to make positive changes in the Community.
The successful incumbent will be working in the community at our community partners offices. The main focus is on providing therapeutic interventions to clients to build their confidence to commence employment. The incumbent will be responsible to deliver evidence based vocational intervention supporting clients with change and build confidence to start employment.
Intervention will be evidence based, solutions focused, and goal orientated. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The role will be working independently and have a high level of autonomy. You will be a solution focused individual with a growth mindset.
This is a permanent full-time position (or part-time, working 3-4 days a week work option is also available for the right person). Based in Tuggerah the role will be working from the office and client sites on the Central Coast, working office hours between 9am-5pm. Due to nature of this role, no working from home options will be available.
Role requirements: Delivery of a range of psychological services including assessment, treatment, support, and training options to individuals and groups. Experience in delivering therapy using short term vocational interventions. Maintain up to date and accurate records aligned to AHPRA best practice standards. You will be responsible to manage your own diary and referrals. Develop proposed treatment plans with people to outline goals of service provision. Provide evidence-based services in a safe and therapeutic manner. Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to support the program and the delivery of therapeutic care. To be successful in this role, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Psychology (Registered or Provisional) qualifications are required. A thorough understanding of the theories relating to and the impact of trauma, abuse and neglect on a person's development and well-being as well as carryover effects into adulthood. Understanding of and commitment to Strengths Based practices and Recovery Oriented models. Excellent group facilitation skills and the ability to clearly articulate and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. Understanding of Drug, Alcohol and other addictions. An understanding of the employment services industry (desirable). Current APHRA registration, or willingness and capability to obtain registration. We would welcome Provisional or Student registrations.
