Our 24-month program provides a well-balanced approach to your clinical and personal development and empowers you to make a real difference in people's lives.
In your first year, you will embark on a journey of professional development where you'll be supported by peers and mentors working in a team environment. A personalised GROWTH plan, with regular mentoring, learning modules and workshops will form the basis of your schedule.
Your second year will enable you to explore different facets of our organisation through our Business Operations Program, Mentoring Program, and Advanced Clinical Skills Program, offering valuable exposure and experience.
As a Graduate Occupational Therapist with Empower, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients ranging in age with various needs and goals. The work that we do is truly meaningful and our goal is to make a difference in people's lives and help improve their independence, safety and wellbeing in their own environment.
The Graduate ProgramOur dedicated graduate program provides wrap-around support so you can confidently transition into life as a first-year clinician and extend the skills you worked hard to develop at university. We provide a graded caseload so you have time to develop skills in one area at a time.
Our program includes:
Fun filled Induction and Orientation Program - A structured orientation plan including shadowing our senior clinicians to get you started.Graduate GROWTH Plan - Set a clear plan of what you want to get out of the program.Comprehensive 6 Week Induction program to ease the transition from Student to Graduate.Weekly 1:1 Mentoring.Monthly Online Professional development courses, and clinical development workshops to put these skills to practice.Access to a wide range of online courses through the Learning management system.Empower Innovation program – your chance to gain further experience in business operations, mentoring or advanced clinical skills.A $1500 External Professional Development Fund.A very generous contribution to your HECS-HELP Loan (that you can choose to collect instead).Why You Should Join Our TeamThe best outcomes for clients.
