This front-line, hands-on role involves working with a team of engineers responsible for maintaining the largest magnetite project in Australia.This role provides an opportunity to identify and lead fleet-wide improvement projects for conveyors.
The engineer(s) will be expected to:Key accountabilities will include:Provide expert conveyors knowledge to site engineering teams.Complete conveyor design reviews utilizing Helix Delta T6, Belt analyst, or similar design software.Review conveyor belt specification allocation to optimize conveyor performance.Engage in belt splice QA/QC activities across the Pilbara.Use various root cause analysis techniques to determine causes of equipment failures and recommend solutions, including findings report writing.Manage and review general conveyor improvement projects, including the review of new conveyor technologies.Monitor conveyor improvements, including the identification of key areas of improvement.Complete conveyor risk assessments.Understand and comply with Boton core values and safety practices, including the identification and design of any key safety improvements.Essential Qualifications and skills required:Tertiary qualification in Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.Strong understanding of conveying assets, conveyor design, and bulk handling engineering.Working knowledge of conveyor modeling software, e.g., Helix Delta – T6, Sidewinder, BeltStat, Belt analyst.Experience using engineering platform technologies such as 3D, EDM, etc.An ability to convert technical knowledge into practical instruction.Strong interpersonal skills, including clear and concise oral and written skills in English and Mandarin.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a mechanical engineer?Have you completed a qualification in mechanical engineering?Do you have native or bilingual proficiency in any languages other than English?What's your expected annual base salary?Are you willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check?
