Commencing in January 2025, our program provides professional development training and on-the-job experience pathways, designed to help bridge the gap from academic study to the work environment. As a graduate of the City, you will have many opportunities available to you:

This unique position will allow you to combine your passion for environmental conservation, your enthusiasm for research and problem-solving, and your engaging communication skills to step into a world away from the ordinary. This role will work with several biodiversity-focused teams including Priority Species Conservation, Environmental Planning, Conservation Partnerships, Strategic Restoration Planning, and Biodiversity Programs. You will draw on your technical knowledge in botany, ecology, planning, and conservation to assist each team in delivering components of their programs and projects. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in fieldwork, ecological surveys in remote locations, and community engagement workshops and presentations.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a recognised degree or postgraduate qualification from a tertiary institution, completed within the last two years or be completed prior to the commencement of the program in January 2025. Applicants must have full working rights in Australia for the duration of the program and be able to work full-time.
The Environmental Conservation graduate position is open to university graduates who have studied Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Ecology, or similar.
