About Central Gippsland Health Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a sub-regional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire. CGH is located in the City of Sale which is 215 km east of Melbourne. The City of Sale is an ideal access point for the magnificent Gippsland Lakes, 90 Mile Beach and the Victorian Alps.
CGH provides acute care as part of an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond. The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield). Acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.
CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students.
About the Role The Enrolled Nurse Graduate program is a supported 12-month program that consists of 2 x 6 month rotations (one 6 month rotation at one of our aged care sites Wilson Lodge/ Maffra District Hospital/ Heyfield Hospital Incorporated and the second 6 month rotation in either the Medical or Surgical ward of CGH).
This program provides recent graduates with the opportunity to consolidate their theory and cement the skills they learned during their training in a supportive and nurturing team environment.
As part of the program, there is the provision of study days, debrief sessions, skills sessions, access to ongoing professional development, and a program coordinator who assists you in transitioning from student nurse to enrolled nurse graduate.
