Internship experience in water and flooding preferred.
Graduate Engineer to support the Flooding and Water Team located in Melbourne.
You will be involved in flood modelling and drainage design for a variety of projects from small scale development to catchment-wide council flood studies to major infrastructure across Australia.Opportunity for growth through a company with a small feel but big opportunities.
Join BG&E's nationwide team of passionate hydrologists, modellers and drainage designers.Key Responsibilities Include
Developing hydrologic and hydraulic models and calculations to assist in flood modelling and drainage design such as TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, DRAINS, WBNM, RORB and GIS packages.GIS data analysis and flood mapping.Design of waterways and flood mitigation measures, scour mitigation design and cross-drainage.Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and actively participating in interdisciplinary workshops as required.Technical reporting.Directly contacting clients and stakeholders.Site walkovers and inspections.About You
To succeed in this position, you'll bring experience such as:Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science.Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.A strong desire to learn and solve problems in a team context.The ability to multi-task and self-prioritise workload.High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.About BG&E
