Silverstrand is seeking a Graduate Engineer to become a key part in shaping the future of our business alongside an experienced team, due to expansive growth in the construction industry and a growing portfolio of work. You will be based in our Brisbane or Gold Coast office and employed on a permanent basis.
About the role You can expect to learn and be involved in the following:
Reading and understanding civil, structural and services drawings.Project planning and programming tasks.Reporting production costs daily, weekly and monthly.Assisting with procurement of plant, equipment and material.Issuing PMPs, SWMs, and MSDs.Managing quality assurance and relevant documentation.Using Total Stations.Reporting to Project Engineer and assisting the Project Team.Conducting daily site inspections.Liaising with subcontractors and foremen.Assisting with cost tracking and conducting regular progress reports.Reporting and mitigating performance issues.Revising Safe Work Method Statements.Ensuring all site activities comply with company safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures.Essential Skills and Experience Civil Engineering, Construction Management Degree or similar.Recent Graduate with a maximum of 1 year experience.A willingness to learn and adapt to a quickly changing environment.A commitment to safety both on site and in the office.What's on offer This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to begin their career!A permanent full-time position with career progression opportunities.Sponsorship is available for the right candidate.A site-based role to gain valuable hands-on experience.About Us Silverstrand is a privately owned and operated contractor operating across Australasia since 2008, providing quality delivery in all areas of both civil and structural construction works in metro, regional and remote areas.
