As Frontier Economics only takes on a very small number of graduates each year, our graduates receive a more targeted development program.
Each graduate is designated a senior economist as a mentor and receives the appropriate support to be able to smoothly adapt to a consulting working style and environment.
Working as a graduate at Frontier Economics could involve:working within small teams on projects in a variety of sectors to deliver transparent and well thought out resultsworking and solving complex problems using data – whether small, medium or big data!writing reports and presentations on findings in line with project deliverablesleading projects at an early stage of your careerworking with some of the brightest minds in the industryAs a graduate economist at Frontier Economics you will receive support and guidance to develop and/or enhance your skills in:client and stakeholder engagementtechnical skills such as Python and R to develop suitable and superior analytics modelsreport writing and presentation skills to clientsknowledge of sectors that Frontier Economics advises inCompulsory requirements:be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or permanent resident in Australia, at the time of applyingcurrently studying in a final year, or recently completed a honours or post-graduate degree with majors in economics, econometrics, business analytics or finance, and with strong academic results.The ideal candidate may have:excellent data handling, management and analytical skillsan eye for detail and a devotion to quality control and self-improvementoutside-the-box problem solving skills and the ability to work solutions end to endproficiency in, aptitude for or willingness to learn, computer coding and modelling and model building skills, using Excel.
R and/or Python.excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsexperience in working effectively and positively with clients or relevant stakeholdersKey dates:Graduate start date: Early 2025, as negotiatedLocation: Melbourne or Sydney
