Ltd. (CPP) is a global wind engineering consultancy with an office and laboratory in St. Peters, Sydney.
Our core services relate to the interaction of the built environment with wind.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic recent graduate to join our Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) consultancy team.
The ideal candidate will be a driven and well-spoken graduate interested in pursuing a career in the field of specialist consultancy with a focus on numerical modelling.
They will have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy collaborating with colleagues and clients on highly technical and challenging engineering problems.
They will enjoy technical writing and have experience and a general interest in fluid mechanics, structural dynamics, HVAC, and/or structural design of buildings.
The successful applicant will be offered technical training, mentoring and support with the opportunity of career advancement within the field of wind engineering and numerical modelling.
They will have access to significant resources and be presented with challenging and varied work involving some of the world's most recognizable structures.
The most important requirements of the role are:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Engineering degree, with fluids as a core subject and some experience with CFD.
Strong desire to be part of a team and contribute to team culture.
Looking for a career in technical consulting.
Ability to write and modify analysis code.
Desirable requirements for the role:
Experience with (or understanding of) consulting engineering.
Exposure to wind engineering.
Demonstrable experience with advanced MATLAB, Python, and shell scripting.
Knowledge of OpenFOAM, Fluent, or similar CFD toolsets.
Remuneration will be awarded for this full-time position depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
