The City of Canterbury Bankstown is one of the largest Councils in NSW with the most culturally, socially and economically diverse communities in Sydney.
We deliver 21 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 370,000 residents.
The role
This role involves collaborating with the project portfolio and architecture teams to analyse business requirements, create functional specifications, and support ICT project delivery.
It serves as a liaison between technical staff and end users to ensure that system designs meet business needs and are user-friendly.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Collaborate with customers to identify and analyse business requirements, develop user stories, use cases and create detailed functional specifications.
Work closely with vendors, team members and stakeholders to develop solutions that meet the business requirements.
Develop and maintain project documentation, including business classes, requirements specifications, process maps, system modelling and user documentation.
Provide subject matter expertise on technology trends, best practices in order to make recommendations for technology solutions.
You will have
Currently undertaking or completed in the last 2 years, tertiary qualifications in Business Analysis, Project Management or Information Technology or related discipline.
Drivers Licence.
Understanding of the various software development lifecycles, e.g.
Agile and Waterfall.
Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to make recommendations based on analysis of business requirements and needs.
Sound collaboration and negotiation skills with the capability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders through outstanding customer service.
Well-developed communication skills to present analytical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical customers.
Demonstrated commitment to Council's values.
The salary range for this opportunity starts at $69,728 (Grade D, Step1) + 11.5% super .
Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
