Our approach is to offer a higher level of client service through frequent communication and timely deliverables.About the RoleWe are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Building Solutions team at our Hobart office. You'll be at the forefront of an emerging discipline, working alongside a dynamic group of professionals in a positive and energetic environment.As our Hobart office continues to experience significant growth, you will play a key role in shaping the future of this expanding team. With opportunities for increased responsibilities, you'll collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to high-profile projects across Tasmania.In this role, you will work on exciting projects that require innovative performance solutions to meet regulatory standards and client needs.Duties will include:Develop and document engineered design solutions that incorporate performance-based strategies in reports.Conduct calculations and model trial designs.Liaise directly with other members of design teams in each project.Research and source relevant data to inform performance solutions.Analyse and interpret legislation to ensure compliance with performance requirements.Develop practical design alternatives that satisfy legislative requirements.Self-management of clients and projects.Skills and QualificationsThe successful candidate will have:A Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil/Structural disciplines preferred).Creativity, driven, attention to detail.Positive and proactive mindset.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Exceptional time-management skills/experience.High capacity for critical and analytical thinking.Ability to work independently, as well as in a larger team.A valid driver's license and have access to a working vehicle.We offer the following benefits:Great office culture and work environment;Regular team-building and CPD opportunities;Flexible working arrangements;Market-leading resources;Salary Bonuses;Training/study opportunities;Potential to fast-track career.Some past relevant experience would be favourable but not essential.
