Key Responsibilities: Preparing bank reconciliations on a daily basis, including liaising and problem-solving with different stakeholders both internal and external.Assisting with tax reporting including GST Business Activity Statements.Providing accounting support to the Financial Services team.Assisting in audits and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.Who You Are: A recent graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus.Highly detail-oriented with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.Eager to learn and grow in the accounting profession.The Benefits: This is a permanent part-time position working 50 hours per fortnight, with a current starting salary of $73,730 per annum (pro-rata) exclusive of superannuation, with the opportunity to progress through Council's banding levels.
