LET'S EXPLORE THE JOB As a Graduate Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting our Financial Operations team contributing to the reporting, maintenance, and integrity of the Council's finance and accounting functions.
You will assist with maintaining the Council's day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance with external reporting obligations, and meeting the financial management needs of internal stakeholders.
A graduate role offers the perfect combination of learning, support, and real-world experience to start building a successful career.You will acquire a diverse range of financial accounting skills through the preparation of monthly reconciliations, taxation returns, financial statements, external audit, Treasury and investments, and fixed assets.
This role also offers the opportunity to gain experience with other teams in Financial Services, including Financial Systems, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Rates.LET'S HEAR ABOUT YOU We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline to join our team.
Your qualifications will provide you with the technical expertise required to navigate complex financial systems and ensure accurate reporting and compliance with industry standards.The ideal candidate will be able to work independently while also thriving in a team environment.
