About the role:
We are looking for a self-starting and organized Graduate Accountant to join our driven and collaborative Finance team. Working across various finance functions will provide exposure to different areas of the finance process, including financial reporting, reconciliations, support with the audit, posting of journals, lease accounting, and other tasks as required.
You'll have the opportunity to assist the team, learning all you can to progress in your career and become a qualified accountant. The business will also support you to become either CA or CPA qualified.
A Day in the Life:
Assist in preparation and compiling of all lease information for the application of AASB16 / IFRS16.
Assist in preparation of rental calculations and rental payment file for all formats.
Ensure integrity and accuracy of the bank reconciliation across Australia and New Zealand.
Ensure integrity of ledgers at end of month.
Ensure accuracy of OPEX / Accrual & Prepayments.
Involvement with the annual and half-year external audits and ensure all audit queries are addressed within the audit timetable.
Involvement with Group Reporting in line with the timetable from Corporate.
Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
About you:
You'll be a Graduate who is looking to gain exposure across different aspects of the finance function. Someone who is eager to learn, has a collaborative approach, and can excel in a fast-paced environment. In addition to:
Completed Accounting Degree.
High proficiency in Office 365 applications, especially MS Excel.
Ability to learn quickly and enhance skills.
Efficient with a strong eye for detail.
