This opportunity: We are seeking a Graduate Accountant to support a number of Finance & Operations functions, including cashflow management, corporate finance and private equity administration. This is an outstanding opportunity for exposure across all aspects of Funds SA's Finance and Operations activities, whilst also gaining experience across other key business teams, over a two-year Graduate Program.
The Graduate Program offers a unique structure that allows you to enhance your existing skills by rotating across various functions within Funds SA within the first 12 months of the program. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with and be mentored by senior department staff, contributing to policies, programs, and services within Funds SA.
As the Graduate Accountant, you will be reporting to a senior leader in the Finance and Operations team, working closely with other team members, and liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders to support the objectives of Funds SA.
What you will do: Contribute to the preparation and review of daily and monthly reconciliations and verification processes.Assist senior members of the team in undertaking periodic quality assurance processes.Identify issues or discrepancies as they arise and liaise with internal stakeholders for resolution.Support the preparation of accounting and tax workings as required.Contribute to the preparation of various financially based reports.Assist with the preparation of fund placements and redemption instructions for alternative investments.Monitor alternative asset transactions and ensure processing is consistent with fund manager statements.Process transactions in Funds SA's private equity administration system within required timeframes.Process investment related invoices and undertake general journal processing, bank reconciliation and fixed asset register maintenance.Build effective and positive working relationships with key stakeholders to encourage collaboration across the business.Participate in a range of development opportunities, including on the job training and attendance at relevant industry courses.What you bring: A degree in finance, accounting or similarAnalytical and problem-solving skillsEffective time management, verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work both independently and as an effective member of a team to deliver high performance and build strong relationships.Highly motivated and engaged with a willingness to contribute as an effective, reliable, and productive team player.Application Criteria: Applications are open to final year students or recent graduates of a South Australian UniversityApplicants must apply with a copy of their academic transcripts (applications without will not be considered).Applications close Friday the 13th of December 2024 at 11.59pm.
