We are seeking a skilled and motivated Grader Driver/Maintenance Supervisor to join our team during the dry season, April to November.
This role is essential to maintaining and improving property infrastructure, ensuring safe and reliable access, and overseeing maintenance tasks across our Normanton/Croydon properties.
The successful candidate will work closely with management to prioritise and implement maintenance projects and uphold our high standards for property care.
Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Aggregation Manager you will be responsible for: Grader Operation: Operating and maintaining graders to ensure roads and other property infrastructure are safe and accessible Conducting road grading and repairs, focusing on drainage, seasonal durability, and usability Clearing firebreaks and implementing erosion control measure Maintenance Oversight: Performing routine servicing and minor repairs on vehicles, machinery, and equipment Identifying and addressing infrastructure issues while creating and executing proactive maintenance schedules Team Leadership & Safety: Leading and coordinating station staff and contractors on maintenance activities Promoting and upholding workplace safety standards, ensuring compliance with regulations and safe work practices General Responsibilities: Assisting with seasonal operations, including mustering or cattle transport Undertaking general property tasks as needed to support day-to-day operations Maintaining accurate records of maintenance schedules, activities, costs, and materials used Requirements Requirements: To be successful, you will demonstrate: Experience operating a grader or similar heavy machinery Practical skills in mechanical repairs and servicing Proficiency in maintaining and repairing fencing, water systems, and other station infrastructure Strong leadership and organisational skills to effectively manage tasks and personnel Commitment to safety, with knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations A valid driver's license (HR license preferred) Previous experience in a similar role on rural or remote properties (preferred) Familiarity with cattle station operations (desirable) Basic welding and fabrication skills (desirable) Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to overcome challenges Benefits On offer for the successful candidate is: A competitive salary based on skills and experience Salary continuance and life insurance (subject to eligibility) All PPE, tools and machinery are provided A flexible, respectful and professional environment Access to Employee Assistance Program How
