What You Will Be Doing
Grade 1 Social Workers are required to provide quality social work services to patients, through the predominately autonomous use of competent clinical skills, effective communication and active collaboration within the social work and multidisciplinary teams.
The position requires the incumbent to work enthusiastically and flexibly in line with the AASW practice standards. As outlined by the AASW Scope of Social Work Practice: Hospital Social Work (2016), Social Workers in health settings complete comprehensive psychosocial assessments, intervention and rigorous discharge plans, in consultation with the patient, their family, carers and significant others. Social Workers also complete risk assessments, provide counselling and advocacy support, crisis intervention and the provision of specialist clinical expertise, in assessing the psychosocial needs of individuals in a number of health settings.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
• A Bachelors Degree or Masters of Social Work (Qualifying). Post graduate studies are highly regarded and may be eligible for a higher education allowance
• Victorian Drivers License

*Please refer to salary circular ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS (VICTORIAN
PUBLIC SECTOR) (SINGLE INTEREST EMPLOYERS) ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021- 2026 for Salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
