About Strategy and Sustainability Directorate The Strategy and Sustainability Directorate is responsible for:
Identifying opportunities to create innovative programs that integrate service delivery and enhance local health outcomes.Leading Austin Health's strategic focus on developing new care models that meet community needs, emphasising home and community-based care.Collaborating with the Capital Planning team to guide the Austin Health Master Plan process.Driving the implementation of Austin Health's Strategic and Business Plans and annual Statement of Priorities, ensuring proper monitoring, reporting, and governance.Leading the Service Improvement and Innovation team to enhance care and redesign business processes for safe, high-quality outcomes across Austin Health.Conducting service reviews and developing service plans to integrate services effectively.Supporting engagement with local primary care providers and participating in joint population health planning.Coordinating and leading the North East Metro Health Service Partnership program of work as agreed by the Partnership CEO group, for the period that Austin Health is the Chair/Lead of this partnership.About the role Austin Health is embarking on an exciting new project to build and test a GP Portal.
The GP Portal will drive improved patient care and outcomes by improving communication between Austin Health clinicians and GPs.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Program Manager to join Austin Health to lead implementation of this project in 2025.
The Program Manager will be an integral member of the Service Improvement and Innovation Team, and will be a leader in project and change management within Austin Health.
The Program Manager will work collaboratively with operational and clinical leaders, the IT department, General Practitioners, consumers and other key stakeholders to successfully deliver this critical piece of infrastructure.
A regular day will see you:
Engaging with Austin Health clinicians, GPs and consumers to identify the requirements for the GP Portal.Collaborating with the IT project team to support technical and functional development of the GP Portal.Supporting leaders, frontline staff and GPs to improve patient care via improved communication and information sharing.About you You will be a highly motivated and experienced professional who brings energy and enthusiasm to their work each day.
You'll be an experienced and inspiring leader who can engage, coordinate, and influence a broad range of stakeholders, including senior clinical leaders, to collectively deliver sustainable system change.
You'll further have:
Tertiary qualifications in a health or management discipline.
A relevant post graduate qualification and/or project management qualification is also desirable.Strong record of leading and delivering complex projects, ideally within a digital health environment.A strategic mindset with strong problem-solving abilities, capable of analysing situations, identifying solutions, and implementing effective plans.Demonstrated experience in effectively engaging diverse stakeholders, building strategic partnerships, and communicating with influence at all levels.Demonstrated experience in engaging consumers, carers and staff in meaningful participation and co-design.A passion for making a difference, maintaining the focus on positive outcomes and experience for our consumers, carers, staff, and community.Working at Austin Health means enjoying a strong sense of purpose, engaging in meaningful work every day.
