This is your opportunity to make a difference.Job DescriptionAs our new Government Relations Adviser, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Senior Adviser to build and maintain relationships with key government stakeholders. This is your opportunity to be at the forefront of financial policy and regulation, ensuring AFCA's voice is heard where it matters most.We value diverse experiences and perspectives in our team. Your unique insights could help shape the future of financial dispute resolution in Australia.Typically, in this role you will:Develop strategic approaches for engaging with government and political stakeholdersPrepare high-quality briefings and materials for senior leadership and parliamentary appearancesMonitor the political landscape to identify opportunities and risks for AFCAManage issues referred by members of parliament, including constituent concernsCollaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent external stakeholder engagementQualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:Tertiary qualifications in public policy, political science, or a related fieldExtensive experience in government relations and stakeholder engagementDemonstrated experience in policy analysis and developmentSound experience in preparing high-quality briefings and reportsThe ability to communicate complex information clearly and persuasivelyTo apply:If you are passionate about how we drive fairness in the financial sector and are looking for an organisation that values the human in all of us, we encourage you to apply – even if you don't meet every single criterion.We encourage applications from people of all ages, cultures, abilities, sexual orientation and gender identities.
