The Opportunity: As the Government Liaison Officer, you will play a key role in preparing advocacy materials, coordinating meetings with decision-makers, and building strong relationships with stakeholders. Your expertise will help advance the interests of East Gippsland, ensuring our community's voice is heard at all levels of government.
This is a full-time position based in Bairnsdale or Lakes Entrance with hybrid work options available.
What we're looking for (Key Selection Criteria) Proven experience working on advocacy matters including ability to draft and deliver compelling advocacy material.Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong relationships within government.Research and analytical skills that allow for the prompt assessment of matters across a range of fields and their implications for an organisation or area.Demonstrated ability to engender confidence and elicit cooperation from external stakeholders and staff at all levels of the organisation.Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area of study and/or extensive experience in a similar role are highly desirable.If successful, you will need to undertake a police check and complete psychometric testing. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
