In this role, you will assist with the effective delivery of corporate governance, risk management, and legal services within the Corporate Compliance branch.This position is offered as a full-time permanent position to the successful candidate.Key accountabilities:Facilitate and assist with review of Governance and Risk policies procedures and processes within the required to meet statutory requirements under the Local Government Act 1995, Freedom of Information Act 1992.Assist in the administration of the City's Insurance portfolio, which shall include processing of insurance claims, general insurance enquiries and coordinating of the documentation for the annual insurance renewal process.Provide monthly statistics of overdue/outstanding organisational risk, compliance and governance activities within the management snapshot.Provide professional, timely, and accurate information regarding the organisation's governance, and insurance obligations, and regulatory requirements under the Local Government Act 1995 and associated regulations, to the Executive Management Team and City employees whilst ensuring strict confidentiality and adhering to privacy principles.Position requirements:The City is seeking a Governance and Risk Advisor with comprehensive experience in governance, risk or legal services in government agencies.
