Lead the governance function to drive accountability and excellence in project management. Design and refine governance frameworks to enhance collaboration among project stakeholders. Analyze data on governance processes to recommend improvements and automate data capture. Reporting to the General Manager for Project Excellence, you will lead the governance function and in doing so drive accountability and excellence. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of key governance structures, implementing best practices in project governance, facilitating effective communication between senior management, project departments and external contractors. Key Accountabilities: Lead continuous improvement of the project governance model to enhance organisational effectiveness and decision-making processes bringing your experience of best practices in mega project governance. Design, refine and support key governance forums and committees to ensure effective collaboration across a complex network of project stakeholders. Analyse data on governance processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend potential options for enhancing governance practices. Report a balanced set of leading and lagging indicators for the project via a set of dashboards which will be used by internal and external stakeholders (including the snowy board) to assess performance and progress of the project. Automate and simplify data capture where possible. Build the systems and capabilities to store and manage key governance artefacts. Promote a culture of continuous improvement. Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement among planning team members, motivating them to deliver exceptional results. Ideally you will be tertiary qualified with a demonstrated track record of leading a governance function on a major infrastructure project; civil, mining or hydro. The ability to inspire and coach leaders as well as team members to bring about change will be second nature to you, as is an execution mindset working in a dynamic environment. This role is based in Cooma (Monday - Friday) with frequent trips to the construction sites at Lobs Hole, Tantangara and Marica.
