Summary Our client, a leading Defence consultancy, is seeking a Governance Lead to drive governance practices and risk management strategies across a large-scale program.
The role is essential in ensuring transparent and accountable project execution, adhering to government regulations and best practices.
You'll work closely with senior decision-makers, develop reporting frameworks, and implement risk management processes, ensuring effective communication and governance.
About the Position As the Governance Lead, you will oversee the development and implementation of governance structures and reporting frameworks for a significant Defence project.
You will also manage risk across multiple work packages, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
In addition, you will design and implement communication strategies to keep senior leaders informed and engaged, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
An additional requirement will be your effectiveness to train and guide those around you (APS staff) upskilling, to ensure they are effective contributors to this project.
About You You are an experienced Governance Lead with in-depth knowledge of programmatic government practices, including reporting frameworks, risk management, and compliance requirements.
You have successfully implemented governance structures for large-scale projects, particularly within Defence or highly regulated environments.
Your communication skills enable you to present complex information clearly to senior decision-makers.
You possess strong analytical abilities to identify, assess, and mitigate risks while maintaining project transparency.
