Our goal is to empower students to make meaningful contributions to their communities through a holistic educational experience.ROLE PURPOSEThe purpose of this role is to support governance and compliance activities across Ormond College, ensuring internal compliance obligations and external regulatory compliance are met.The Governance and Compliance Officer will require high levels of attention to detail and research capabilities. They must thrive on multi-tasking, display a customer service mindset, and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within the College.KEY DELIVERABLESRESPONSIBILITIESAdministration: Deliver administrative support to the Council and its Committees, including organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and distributing papers.Maintain records, including governance records, electronic files, and College database records.Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including ASIC and ACNC requirements.Ensure records of Council and Committee meetings are kept in compliance with the College's Constitution.Establish and update necessary College registers.Arrange an annual calendar of meetings for Council and Committees.Policy & Procedure Framework: Manage the College's policy and procedure framework by monitoring schedules, setting meeting times, taking minutes, and tracking action items.Risk Management: Manage the College's risk register and support risk management initiatives.OHS Committee: Manage the College's OHS Committee, including setting meeting times, taking minutes, and tracking action items.Other Duties: Provide administrative support as required, ensuring compliance with the College's Risk Management Policy and OHS policies.KEY CAPABILITIESHigh attention to detail and integrity in administrative tasks.Proficient in data gathering, analysis, research, and report writing.Ability to assist with internal auditing requirements.WORKING RELATIONSHIPSReports to the Chief Operating & Innovation Officer. Interaction with various committees and external suppliers as required.KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEStrong administrative and organizational skills with high attention to detail.Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle confidential information and make well-considered administrative decisions.Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.QUALIFICATIONSRelevant work experience in administrative, compliance, or governance support.Tertiary education in Business or Administration is beneficial but not essential.
