Governance, Assurance and Performance OfficerFull-time TemporaryDetails: The Governance, Assurance and Performance Team is part of the Governance, Compliance and Legal Branch and is responsible for audit and assurance, strategic asset management, governance, business resilience, risk management, and performance reporting.
We also serve as strategic business partners to the Directorate's line areas, helping them embed fit-for-purpose processes to enhance the quality, accountability, and effectiveness of their functions.As a valued member of our team, your key role will be to:Provide ongoing secretariat and support functions to committees such as the Directorate's Audit and Risk Committee (ARC), including preparing agendas, coordinating meetings, documenting minutes and following up on action items.Contribute to a range of internal and external governance and assurance activities, including assisting with the coordination of the internal audit program.Contribute to the development and implementation of frameworks, policies and procedures to support internal audit and other assurance activities.Make enquiries, collaborate with business areas and stakeholders to prepare briefs, reports and other documents to enhance service delivery quality, accountability and overall value through strategic partnership.Assist with related work across the Governance, Assurance and Performance Team as required.Experience in audit, assurance, governance and risk, policy development, business performance reporting and emergency management is highly desirable but not essential.If you have relevant experience or believe your skills can translate into this role, we want to hear from you!We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community.
