Ongoing & Non-ongoing for an initial period up to 12 monthsAPS Level 6 ($94,715 - $106,438),Executive Level 1 ($121,717 - $138,722) plus 15.4% superannuation'Canberra, ACT and Sydney, NSWLocation: Canberra, ACT and Sydney, NSWApplication Closing Date: 27-May-2024ClassificationAPS Level 6 ($94,715 - $106,438) Executive Level 1 ($121,717 - $138,722)Employment TypeOngoing & Non-ongoing (for an initial period up to 12 months)This role is being advertised as both ongoing and non-ongoing, with the employment type to be determined in negotiation with the preferred candidate and the PM&C delegate.Where a non-ongoing specified term is offered, this would be for an initial period of up to 12 months, with possibility of extension up to a maximum period of two years.A non-ongoing offer may result in conversion to an ongoing offer of employment, however this must occur within 18 months from the opening date of this advertisement.Flexible WorkFlexible working arrangements will be consideredThe Opportunity We are seeking applications from experienced governance professionals to fill multiple roles across both the Executive Level 1 (Assistant Director) and APS 6 (Senior Advisor) classifications.In addition to meeting the Integrated Leadership System profiles of the Executive Level 1 and APS 6 levels, primary outcomes and accountabilities are expected to involve: developing and managing key governance documents such as the Annual Report and Corporate Plan, and related performance reporting requirements,supporting the development of Branch and Division plans,supporting the establishment and management of the Authority's Audit and Risk Committee,supporting the Board's governance needs,developing and managing risk management and business continuity frameworks,providing support in relation to privacy issues and FOI requests,developing privacy, confidentiality and integrity frameworks, andproviding project management capability to the broader Agency/Authority.Working closely with the Director, Assistant Directors will lead a small team to deliver the relevant outcome(s) noted above. Assistant Directors would be expected to work under general direction to provide strategic direction, and management of complex and/or sensitive governance matters, utilising their specialist and technical governance expertise to ensure obligations and legislative requirements are met.Supported by the Assistant Director, Senior Advisors will contribute to the development and implementation of the above outcome(s), as well as provide general advice and guidance to business areas on a range of governance matters. Your can-do attitude, communication, planning and organisation skills, and ability to prioritise workloads will enable you to effectively manage and deliver results. These roles will allow you to work autonomously to manage and collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.Our Ideal CandidateOur ideal candidates will have: Experience in a governance or corporate role, and good working knowledge of the requirements of the PGPA Act, particularly relating to the Performance Reporting Framework and assurance frameworks including Audit Committees.Experience in FOI, privacy, fraud, confidentiality and probity frameworks.High-quality verbal and written communication skills, strong customer focus and an ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders including the ability to listen, understand, and adapt to different audiences.High-level time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines and deliver high quality outcomes.Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion and integrity, and work effectively in a small team.Eligibility To be eligible for this position you must be an Australian Citizen. The successful candidate will be required to be assessed through our pre-employment screening checks, such as an Australian Criminal History Check.Security Clearance Required Baseline Vetting (Protected)
