Governance And Risk Officer

Public Sector People are partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for a temporary Governance and Risk Officer.

Contract: 6 months

Hourly Pay Rate: $63.09 p/h + Super

Responsibilities

Oversight of councils Audit and Risk Management programs including internal audit, the Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee, councils risk management program and insurances and premiums.
Implement early intervention of claims with a view to limiting Council's exposure.
Manage Council's insurance portfolio to ensure that Council is adequately protected.

Essential

2+ years experience in Audit and Risk position or similar
Previous experience in leading successful internal audits
Local council experience will be highly regarded
