Full Time Ongoing Role$78,456.56 - $90,192.96 plus 11.5% superannuationDepartment: GovernanceDo you want to make an IMPACT?We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our Governance Team as a Governance and Compliance Officer.About This RoleThe Governance and Compliance Officer will provide comprehensive secretariat support for Council Meetings, Briefings and the Latrobe City Trust secretariat.
Support a range of projects and activities across the Governance Team including advice on Governance-owned policies (e.g.
Governance Rules and Conflict of Interest), Officer Authorisations, and insurance claims, as well as providing advice about and maintaining records of compliance with legislation, policy and procedures.About YouFor this position, we are seeking a highly motivated individual, with a sound knowledge of current administrative procedures with the ability to produce high level, large volume documentation, and the ability to prepare correspondence within organisational guidelines.You will need:Degree or diploma in a relevant field with transferable knowledge and/or skills to a Governance and Compliance environment, or experience in a relevant field.Demonstrated experience in a similar administrative role and environment.Experience in the use of Info Council, or alternatively, the ability to apply prior knowledge of similar systems.Self-manage work tasks and responsibilities, including where operationally required, additional or out of scope works to support the governance and compliance teams.Work effectively as part of a small team; both independently and as a positive contributor in a high energy environment to achieve required outcomes.Successful applicants will be required to apply for and satisfactorily obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children's Check.Go Further at Latrobe City CouncilA career with us begins with a desire to empower and make positive change within our Latrobe City Community.
