Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance is essential. A law degree is highly desirable. Busy, challenging, and fast-paced role.

See yourself in our team Our Group Secretariat team are dedicated people who provide corporate governance advice and corporate secretariat services to the Commonwealth Bank Board of Directors and its Committees, and to our subsidiary companies and their various committees. Working in this team, no two days are the same. You'll be tasked with providing high-quality governance services to one of Australia's largest financial services organisations.

Do work that mattersPreparing and filing corporate filings, maintaining corporate registers and other statutory recordsSupporting the preparation and filing of ASX announcements and offshore exchange announcementsProviding advice on CBA's governance policies and procedures and compliance issues to assist directors and management in the discharge of their dutiesAdvising in relation to corporate governance practices and providing advice regarding relevant aspects of the Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules and APRA Prudential StandardsDeveloping and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships by being a trusted and valued adviserAssisting in the smooth running of Board/Committee meetings and by assisting in the preparation and review of meeting materials (as required) and the publication of papers on the Board and Committee paper portalSupporting the delivery of corporate governance projectsSupporting the testing and performance of risk controls mapped to the Group Secretariat teamMaintaining a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Bank's corporate governance structure, standards, regulations and legislation We're interested in hearing from people who have:A Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance is essential. A law degree is highly desirable.A minimum of five years' experience in a governance role, a combined governance and legal role or a private practice legal role specialising in advising on governance mattersStrong organisational skills including the ability to prioritise heavy workloads, meet deadlines, work collaboratively as part of a team but also work autonomously and have a high degree of professionalismHighly motivated with a personal commitment to exceptional service and proactive, efficient and confidentSound knowledge of, and experience in applying good corporate governance practices and relevant aspects of corporate law, listing rules and prudential regulation
