We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Golf Marketing and Salesperson. You'll wear two hats, ensuring a seamless customer experience in the shop while crafting engaging marketing initiatives to promote our beautiful course and facilities.
Tanunda Pines Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in the Northern region, located adjacent to the Novotel Barossa Valley Resort in the heart of the Barossa Valley, just one hour's drive from Adelaide.
On the Marketing side: Promoting, securing and assisting with organizing golf tournaments, clinics, and other events. Promoting, securing and organizing corporate golf events. Promoting, securing new and retaining membership and sponsorship for the golf course. Promote and develop ideas to increase golf course visitor traffic. Develop and prepare social media content to promote the golf course, events, and special offers. Craft compelling email marketing campaigns and press letters to reach new and existing golfers. Update the club's website with fresh content, photos and event information. Generate creative ideas to promote the club's unique offerings and atmosphere. Analyse marketing efforts and adapt strategies for optimal reach and engagement. On the Retail Side: Greet and assist customers, answering phone calls and booking of golf sessions. Assist golfers in selecting the perfect equipment, apparel, and accessories based on their needs and skill level. Maintain a clean, organized and inviting shop environment. Process customer purchases efficiently and accurately including point-of-sale operations and cash handling. Maintain a positive and professional demeanour, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. Manage inventory, including stocking shelves and reordering supplies. Stay up to date on the latest golf trends and equipment. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager/Golf Operation Manager. To thrive in this role, you'll need: A genuine passion for golf and a strong understanding of the game. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. A creative mind with a knack for social media and marketing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. A positive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations. Flexibility is required with working hours and weekend work will apply. Basic knowledge of retail operations is preferred. Golf knowledge or PGA qualification is preferred but not essential.
