ABOUT OUR ROLES Sydney Local Market Ops, comprises of Middle Office, Trade Support and Settlements, provides essential risk management and control, as well as business engagement and client services covering multiple asset classes including ASX and NZX equities, fixed income, listed derivatives, and FX.
Key Responsibilities : Trade allocation, matching and confirmation; Settlements management, including prematching, inventory management and fail investigations; Assess market changes and present the impacts, recommendations to the business and Operations Management; Identify opportunities for improvements of settlement efficiency & control; Understand internal and external regulations; Analyze and resolve exceptions; Evaluate and escalate risk items to management and the business; Participation in strategic and tactical projects with other Operations areas, IT & management; Respond to varied queries from the business and internal clients; Protect the Firm and its clients from market penalties associated with Asset Servicing events and trading; Managing ECM (Equity Capital Market) flow in the assistance of the Syndicate Execution desk.
Basic Qualifications: General knowledge of cash equity/fixed income/Derivative products; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – essential for interacting at all levels, across business disciplines and regions; Self-motivated, driven and strong team player; Strong technical / analytical / problem solving skills; Time management and ability to multi-task in a high pressure environment; Accuracy and attention to detail essential.
