The Gold Coast SUNS AFLW program is an integral part of the club, marking its commitment to the growth and development of women's football.
Since joining the AFLW competition in 2020, the club has made significant strides, including qualifying for the finals twice.
The club now boasts an established AFLW program with a strong foundation which will present an exciting opportunity for the next prospective Senior Coach.
The Senior Coach will play a key role in fostering a high-performance culture within the playing group and support staff, both now and in the future.
Leveraging their extensive football knowledge and experience coaching at the elite level, particularly with women's teams, they will develop a football program focused on sustained success.
The Senior Coach must demonstrate the ability to face challenges directly, while fostering and maintaining strong relationships across all levels.
Working collaboratively within the broader football program, they will be deeply committed to nurturing and developing talent within our Academy programs.
The GC SUNS Senior Coach will have: A strong personal brand, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
The ability to build genuine relationships with players and staff, showing empathy both personally and professionally.
Experience developing a competitive, sustainable program with a focus on long-term success.
Proven leadership in high-performance environments, with an emphasis on culture, values, and elite standards.
Expertise in developing and implementing game strategies.
Strong leadership skills, adapting their style to maximise individual athlete performance.
Ability to collaborate within a broader football program with shared goals and resources.

A deep understanding of the Women's game and what is needed for success in its developing competition.
