The Opportunity Play a supporting role to the Project Manager in the delivery of maritime projects within the Department of Defence. Your role will involve:
Preparing and tracking budget, spend, forecast, financial phasings, contract invoicing and payments and other financial reporting in accordance with approved Procurement Management Plans in Defence financial systems (e.g. MyFi). Provide project and program document management including preparation and curation of project status reports, risk and issue register, briefs, and other related documents. Undertake research and analysis and prepare advice on project/program related matters. Understand and administer contractual arrangements which may include coordination of Contract Change Proposals (CCP), correspondence, invoicing, deliverables, schedules, performance management (KPIs/SHIs/OPMs) and dispute resolution. Supporting simple and comprehensive procurement in accordance with Commonwealth and Defence Procurement Policies and Divisional/Branch/SPO processes. This includes but not limited to drafting of Endorsement to Proceed (EtP), Section 23 (s23), and AE 643 (Defence Purchasing) documents. About you Experience in a similar project support role within the CASG / Defence project environment is essential. Strong stakeholder management, written and verbal communication skills, planning and organisation skills and time management is a must for this role. Hold an existing NV1 with willingness to upgrade to NV2 if required. Demonstrated experience in financial management, procurement support and reporting. Cert IV Project Management or similar qualification would be advantageous.
