Our Client offers an opportunity to solve some of the world's most challenging technical problems in Electronic Warfare, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, RF sensing, Sensor Fusion, and distributed systems.
You will work with high-profile customers across militaries, government agencies, airports, critical infrastructure, law enforcement, and many others.
With an approximately $1bn market capitalization and having raised approximately $250m in 2024 alone, Our Client is undergoing a hypergrowth stage, fueled by the rapidly increasing use of drones for nefarious applications, from battlefield to terrorism, contraband delivery, and commercial espionage.
This role is based at the headquarters in Sydney CBD.
There are approximately 160 staff based in the 4,000sqm facility today, scheduled to grow to approximately 300 staff by the end of 2026.
Overseas on-the-ground presence includes Virginia (USA), Denmark, Germany, and Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries globally.
About the RoleThe company is seeking a Back End Software Developer with GO experience to join the development team in Sydney.
Responsibilities, Duties, and ExpectationsDesign and develop current systems to increase functionality and usability.Build features and improvements from conceptualization to realization, working closely with the software engineering team.Take operational responsibility for the services and codebase that you will develop.Qualifications, Experience, and Skills3 - 5+ years of experience building REST APIs with Golang.Experience developing microservices infrastructure is ideal.Experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, developing large software systems, and/or security software development.Familiarity with Docker, Postman, GitLab, and AWS is favorable.BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.You are experienced working with modern infrastructure and tools.You are comfortable running your software in Linux environments.You know and care about sound engineering practices like continuous delivery, defensive programming, and automated testing.You're familiar with designing and building distributed and scalable systems.Previous 'start-up' or 'scale-up' experience is favorable.You are a lifelong learner, self-taught, and continuously learning.
