General Manager - Production Location: Regional Victoria
We are seeking an accomplished and results-driven General Manager - Production to oversee multi-site operations and drive excellence across all facets of production. This is a senior leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's future, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. With a strong foundation in manufacturing, ideally within food or packaging industries, you will lead the charge in operational innovation, strategic investment, and team development.

Your Role at a Glance Leadership and Team Development Lead and inspire a diverse team, including Production Managers, Assistant Managers, Shift Managers, Technical Trainers, and Quality Officers.Build a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.Drive organisational development initiatives that enhance staff engagement and capability.Operational Excellence Manage and optimise production performance across multiple sites to meet and exceed KPIs.Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, quality, and output.Drive key metrics, including tonnes per hour, customer fill rates, and operator productivity.Foster a safety-first culture, collaborating with the Safety team to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.Strategic Planning and Execution Work closely with the CEO to develop and execute long-term production strategies.Lead plant investment initiatives to modernise facilities and improve operational capacity.Ensure systems and processes are in place for accurate reporting, analysis, and decision-making.Quality and Compliance Oversee quality assurance and ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015 standards.Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality and operational excellence.Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and organisational standards.Budget and Resource Management Develop and manage department budgets to achieve financial objectives.Ensure effective utilisation of resources to meet production targets while controlling costs.Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on financial and operational performance.What You'll Bring Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field; additional certifications in OHS or production efficiency are highly regarded.Extensive leadership experience in manufacturing, ideally within food, packaging, or related industries.Proven ability to manage multi-site operations, delivering on safety, quality, and efficiency goals.A track record of driving cultural change and fostering high-performing teams.Strategic and analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.What's in It for You?
