Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated Horse Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing well-trained, confident horses.
Key ResponsibilitiesTrain and equip horses with skills and ability for harness racingDrive horses – jogging and trackworkGroom horsesHandle and halter break foals and yearlingsClean stablesManage feeding and supplementationCommunicate with drivers and other horse handlersDrive horse floatsManage health care, nutrition, and well-being of horses, reporting conditions to owners and/or vetsIdentify and treat injuriesRequirementsMinimum 1-2 years of experience as a horse trainerRWWA driving licence must be attained (drug test, police clearance required)Knowledge of equine behavior, health, and training techniquesStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients, riders, and team membersCalm and patient demeanor, with ability to connect with horses and bring out their best potentialSalary and Benefits$73,150 per annum + 11.5% superannuation
This is a full-time position located in Busselton, WA.
