Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Full time About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Global Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimise our end-to-end supply chain operations across multiple geographies. This is a full time role based in our head office in Gympie QLD. This role is crucial in managing procurement, logistics, production planning, inventory control, and supplier relationships to ensure the seamless flow of goods and materials. The Global Supply Chain Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, and operations, to align supply chain activities with business goals, maintain cost efficiency, and meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning:Develop and implement global supply chain strategies that support business growth, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.Align supply chain initiatives with organizational goals and ensure global standardization of processes and policies.Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with key global suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance, driving continuous improvement and cost savings.Logistics & Distribution:Oversee global logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.Optimize shipping routes and logistics providers to minimize costs and improve delivery times.Procurement & Inventory Management:Manage global procurement processes, ensuring timely sourcing of materials, components, and services.Develop inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.Demand & Supply Planning:Collaborate with sales and production teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and ensure appropriate production planning.Balance demand and supply to avoid disruptions and ensure efficient production flow.Identify potential supply chain risks (e.g., geopolitical issues, natural disasters) and develop contingency plans.Implement measures to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity.Oversee the implementation and use of supply chain technologies, such as ERP, to enhance efficiency and data visibility.Drive process automation and digital transformation within the supply chain function.Lead and mentor a global supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration.Provide regular feedback and development opportunities to improve team performance.Compliance & Sustainability:Ensure supply chain operations comply with international trade regulations, environmental policies, and corporate social responsibility standards.Drive sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and ethical sourcing practices.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum of 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3-5 years in a global or multi-regional capacity.Proven track record in managing global supplier networks, logistics operations, and procurement processes.Strong knowledge of ERP systems, supply chain management software, and data analytics tools.Ability to manage complex, global projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (MBA preferred).Experience in supply chain management in the buy-sell business.Join us and be a part of a dynamic team driving global supply chain excellence!
