The Global Lead - Security Strategy is a member of the Global Technology Team reporting directly to the Global CISO.
This role is responsible for leading the Global Security Strategy and assisting the regions to implement the strategy locally.
This role can be based in either our Melbourne CBD or Mascot NSW office.
This key leadership role is responsible for driving both global and regional security strategies, playing a crucial part as a key member of the Global Security Leadership Team (GSLT).
Additionally, this role serves as a backup for the Global CISO, as well as the Regional BISO, ensuring continuity in leadership when needed.
With delegated accountability from the Global CISO, the role oversees the Global Security Portfolio, aligning security initiatives across the organization.
This position is also entrusted with financial oversight, managing a substantial budget to ensure effective resource allocation and operational efficiency.
The Global Lead - Security Strategy will lead the design and establishment of a comprehensive Global Security Strategy with 1, 3 and 5 year horizons, proactively anticipating future security challenges.
Collaborating closely with Regional and Global teams, this role is responsible for developing innovative approaches to address emerging threats together with driving the creation of global and regional security roadmaps and providing subject matter expertise to support strategic goals.
A key responsibility includes delivering data-driven, quantified security risk and compliance reports, along with cost-benefit analyses, to the board, executives, and teams, ensuring informed prioritization of projects and ongoing activities.
This role has a focus on the development of key metrics and indicators to measure the performance of security services and projects, while also leading the optimization of security processes and assisting with the operating model.
QualificationsAs a key member of the GSLT, the Global Lead - Security Strategy requires a blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership skills.
Specific requirements include:
Extensive cyber security experience, including in a managerial roleComprehensive knowledge and experience in information and operational security applied in complex commercial environments.
