What you'll be doing Reporting to the VP of Engineering you'll be involved in: Managing QA leads across the UK and wider EMEA regional businesses, who are responsible in turn for individual QA teams.
Working with QA leads to ensure the highest standards are applied consistently across individual products, QA automation strategies are clearly defined and executed, and manual QA approaches are consistent, effective and efficient.
Executing on the QA and automation testing strategy across the region.
Collaborating with ANZ regional head to deliver on an aligned strategic QA plan.
In this capacity, your responsibilities will include: Lead on the execution of, a comprehensive QA strategy for all Reapit products.
Author and distribute scalable, re-usable tools and libraries to drive best practice and rapid development in the QA automation testing space.
Report on QA activities and outcomes within the UK and EMEA region.
Empower and support QA leads in addressing challenges within their teams and driving pragmatic process improvements.
Advise the Global Head of Product Delivery and VPE on factors affecting departmental cost, e.g.
resourcing and tooling needs.
Provide mentoring to QA leads and support their technical and personal development.
Work with the Global Head of Product Delivery and VPE to: Ensure optimal allocation of resources to meet quality assurance requirements.
Ensure the QA department is structured and resourced appropriately according to business goals, and that key person risks are identified and mitigated.
Continuously evaluate and improve QA practices, standards, and ways of working.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the QA department and drive a culture of quality throughout the entire business.
Ensure all teams are working towards an optimal balance of manual testing vs.
automation.

At least 3 years of experience in QA management roles in an Agile development environment.
Extensive experience of implementing modern automated browser-based QA tools like Playwright and Cypress.
Experience of integrating automated QA tools into CI/CD pipelines like Git Hub Actions and Circle CI.
Experience executing on a QA strategy.
Proven ability to manage senior staff and people managers.
Excellent communication skills, mature and professional, proactive, pragmatic, able to work methodically to deadlines.
Detailed knowledge of QA best practices and quality management systems.
Experience working with cloud-based computing services – e.g.
AWS, Azure, GCP.
Experience with Jira & Confluence.
Able to drive a culture of quality throughout an entire business.
Experience working with and/or managing offshore resources.
Desirable experience includes: experience delivering Saa S products, experience within/knowledge of the Real Estate industry.
What your impact and success looks like As a Head of QA, we expect your success and impact in the early stages of your career with us to look something like this: Within 1 month: Build general product/domain knowledge and knowledge of committed projects/improvements currently in progress.
Begin working with QA Leads to understand existing practices and long-term strategic goals.
Begin assessing the current state of QA across the business.
Within 3 months: Working with the VPE and Head of Product Development, begin to execute on the QA strategy within the UK and wider EMEA business.
Begin to develop generic distributed toolchains that internal teams can adopt to drive standardised automated testing adoption.
Identify weaknesses/challenges within the existing teams and their processes, and identify priority areas for improvement.
Begin establishing reporting approaches/mechanisms to provide visibility on QA effectiveness and ability to measure improvements.
Within 6 months: Work with QA leads to build UK & EMEA roadmaps which enhance our QA capability and effectiveness, and support the global QA strategy.
Will have rolled out a library of distributed automation tools that are actively adopted by teams in all areas of the business.
Begin executing key strategic roadmap initiatives.
Produce recommendations for QA resourcing needs over the next 1-3 years inline with the global QA strategy but considerate of regional, product-specific needs.
