What you'll be doing
Reporting to the VP of Engineering you'll be involved in
The management and deployment of the enterprise's external infrastructure and production systems for all products globally.
Selecting and implementing suitable technologies to ensure production systems remain performant, available, scalable, secure and cost effective.
Providing strategic leadership for DevOps teams globally.
Working with development and product teams to improve developer productivity and reduce time to market.
Working with the architecture and security teams to set global best practices across all product infrastructure platforms.
Building and executing the global DevOps strategy.
Executing the global technology strategy in collaboration with local and global technology leaders.
In this capacity, your responsibilities will include
Leading an impactful team being responsible for production infrastructure, data management and security. Supporting technology and product teams ensuring the company can meet its overall strategic objectives.
Supporting the VPE in developing infrastructure strategies in support of the company's strategic objectives.
Selecting and implementing suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimise their strategic benefits.
Providing technical and architectural leadership to DevOps teams globally.
Ensure DevOps teams are continuing to mature and move towards global best practice.
Manage technical infrastructure debt in line with global technology strategies.
Supporting the VPE in Identifying, monitoring, and assessing the impact and opportunity of emerging technology trends on the company's strategies and their potential application to the company's operations and products.
Developing, implementing, and reporting on critical metrics that demonstrate progress against agreed SLA's
Defining and maintaining an appropriate structure and levels of resource to meet corporate objectives.
Contributing to the prioritisation and scheduling of projects in conjunction with regional leadership.
Establishing and maintaining strategic supplier relationships that meet the requirements of the business.
Supporting the CISO in delivering and maintaining the Cyber Security Strategy by executing security programs and ensuring governance and rigour is applied to existing security processes and practices.
Supporting the CISO in maintaining current security certifications.
Who we're looking for

5 Years experience in a senior technical role, leading DevOps, Architecture or Development teams.
Strong technical expertise across a wide range of domains, including infrastructure, software. development, cybersecurity, and project management.
Strong technical capability and experience architecting, building and managing AWS and Azure cloud environments.
Experience of managing costs in a cloud compute environment, whilst maintaining scalable and performant systems.
Experience of building distributed, toolchains and libraries that facilitate rapid application development and repeatable, predictable design patterns.
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve organizational goals.
Strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically, anticipate future trends, and develop innovative solutions.
Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience working with distributed teams with offshore resources. would be a plus.
What your impact and success looks like
As the Global Head of DevOps we expect your success and impact in the early stages of your career with us to look something like this:
Within 1 month:
Build report with your team leads and other technology leaders globally.
Gain familiarity with infrastructure design and maturity across all product families.
Gain familiarity with CI/CD pipelines across all product families.
Gain familiarity with the organization's systems, and software platforms.
Gain a thorough understanding of ongoing projects, including objectives, timelines, deliverables, and resource allocations.
Within 3 months:
Identify quick wins and short-term objectives that can demonstrate early progress and build momentum.
Work with the VPE, CTO and CIO to understand the wider infrastructure and security strategy.
Evaluate existing DevOps tools, platforms, and infrastructure to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Gain an understanding of the current infrastructure and budget.
Review project documentation, including scope statements, work breakdown structures, and project plans.
Conduct a comprehensive risk assessment for ongoing projects, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
Establish regular communication channels with stakeholders, including status updates, progress reports, and issue resolutions.
Within 6 months:
Delivered several key projects, showing attention to detail and adherence to scope, cost and time parameters.
Build a set of global best practices within the DevOps function and have established a programme to implement them.
Fostered a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the DevOps teams.
Build solid relationships with local and global technology leaders.
Built relationships with key suppliers.
