Glencore's McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future located in the Gulf of Carpentaria, 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola.
We produce and process zinc, lead, and silver from our open cut mine.

Key Responsibilities:
Promote and uphold a strong safety culture by ensuring crew compliance with the MRM Safety Management Framework.
Manage and support crew members through effective supervision, including performance management, time and attendance oversight, coaching, and motivation.
Conduct effective pre-start meetings, work planning sessions, and safety interactions.
Allocate crew personnel, equipment, and resources efficiently to meet MRM's mine plan deliverables.
Provide technical guidance to team members, sharing expertise to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Maintain timely and accurate reporting while providing regular updates to stakeholders.
Set a positive example by actively implementing MRM's values in daily operations.
Contribute to ongoing process improvements by analyzing shift and weekly performance data and providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
About You:
Experience in a similar role in an open-cut mining operation, with proven success supervising a crew.
A strong commitment to safety, with demonstrated experience promoting and implementing safe work practices.
Demonstrated ability to maximize productivity through effective resource allocation, equipment utilization, and team supervision.
Proven success leading, supervising, and developing diverse work teams, fostering a positive and productive team culture.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to conduct effective pre-start meetings and provide clear updates to stakeholders.
Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills.
Ability to work effectively in remote locations, adapting to unique challenges and environments.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
High-level technical knowledge and experience with a wide range of mobile equipment, such as dump trucks, graders, water carts, excavators, and diggers.
Current open driver's license.
Capability to pass pre-employment medical checks, including drug and alcohol testing.
